Marshall Boy's and Girl's team will travel to Landover, Maryland for the Liberty District Indoor championship scheduled for Thursday (Feb 1st) and Friday (Feb 2nd). The boy's team will be defending the Liberty District crown won last year. They will be led by Junior Kanuux Chaudhuri as the top seed in the 300m dash, 2nd seed in the 500m dash. Seniors Krish Bhalla (school 55m dash record holder) and Neil Anis (3rd in school 300m history) is ranked 2nd in their event. The 4x200m (state auto Qualifier) and 4x400m (regional auto Qualifier) is ranked 1st in their event and should give the team a great chance to defend. The distance squad will be led by Seniors Aiden McCarthy and Simon Barnes along with junior Matthew Kane while Junior Daniel Lim is the best placed field event athlete.
On the girl's side, sophomore Olivia Dabich with her two regional auto Qualifier in the 500m dash and 1000m Run will led along with junior Amelia Shoemaker a regional Qualifier in the 3200m run. Senior Adrianna Haggerty Graham will give a run at the shot put title as she comes in ranked 2nd with her regional auto Qualifier. Two dark horse candidates are Senior Allison Gardner and new coming Kira Siminski in the 55m and 300m dashes along with their 4x200m Relay.
